As our community and surrounding area has experienced continued growth with the seniors population, our Society commissioned a Need and Demand Study, Business Plan, and Project Concept document to review seniors present and future needs in Chetwynd. The Need and Demand document showed that there is present and future need of seniors independent housing from the area seniors population growth.
•From the survey and business plan we propose a unit mix:
•6 –1 bedroom units 550 sq feet
•8 – 1 bedroom and den units 650 sq feet
•6 – 2 bedroom units 735 sq feet
20 units in total
Phase 2 Fundraising Campaign
The fundraising committee has started the campaign to raise equity funds for Phase 2 project. We will be approaching residents and businesses in our region for donations, and holding events such as auctions to meet the target of $640,000.00.
